The vision of the home at Rose Ranch started just over two years ago when the owners decided to build on the 6.5 acre parcel they had acquired in
1996. They have since planted the property in Merlot grapes & have become certified organic farmers.

Although Casa Verde at Rose Ranch is attached to the Main House it is completely private with its own entrance & patio area under the Valley Oaks.

Then there is the food! Steve Rose is a well-known, talented local chef with many interesting sidelines. His restaurant, the Vineyards Inn, is a favorite among those in the know and from his kitchens you will be treated to a gourmet breakfast cooked to order, and possibly some of his home-made
cheeses and samples from his wine cellar, along with the opportunity to dine at the Vineyards Inn. He may even prepare a dinner for you on site with
advance notice & his availability!

The location of Casa Verde is ideal, right in the heart of Sonoma Valley, within walking distance to the restaurant, as well as Landmark Winery, Kaz,
Chateau St. Jean & Blackstone. Numerous other wineries are a short car ride away.
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is right up the hill, with its fantastic hiking trails and Ferguson Observatory, and the mountain looming in your vistas at Casa Verde.

The living room looks out onto their organic merlot vineyard & the patio under the Valley Oaks.

The restful bedroom features a queen sized bed with luxurious, natural and organic linens. Plush robes await you. The bathroom features an air jet
bubble tub, self cleaning & chemical free.

Our guests at Casa Verde and Sonoma Highway will get an extra special treat - in the form of a gift voucher for use at the Vineyards Inn, from owners Steve and Colleen Rose.....$25 for guests at Casa Verde ad $50 for guests at 7700 Sonoma Highway! One voucher per property, per stay. The voucher will be available for you at the property when you arrive, to use at your leisure for lunch or dinner.

Dining Recommendation: Vineyards Inn - a Bar & Grill! A casual, local favorite in Kenwood, featuring Spanish style tapas and incredible fresh local & Hawaiian seafood among the extensive Spanish offerings of steaks, sautees, Paellas & pastas. You must give Chef Steve's weekly specials a try. One of the valley's best hidden secrets! The staff is friendly, and there is a great bar, always populated by interesting people, where they turn out delicious margaritas with a full bar & local wine list. Enjoy dining under the grape arbor in the large covered patio as well as by roaring fire in the winter. Large groups can be accommodated. (website)
